Leave the car connected and tell Just In Charge how much energy you need and when it must be ready. Dynamic mode takes grid energy in the cheapest available intervals. Solar mode favors the hours when your panels are most likely to produce. You do not need to watch prices or start charging yourself.
We use the prices or pricing rules published by your selected energy or grid provider.
You choose the required energy and ready-by time, then leave the car plugged in.
Just In Charge applies the charging plan automatically and keeps your departure time as the constraint.
Keep your equipment
No new energy hardware
Just In Charge controls a compatible internet-connected wallbox through OCPP. Connecting it requires an OCPP backend setting, not a rebuild of your home-energy setup.
No replacement wallbox when your current model is compatible.
No home battery system.
No local energy-management system.
No additional meter or measurement equipment.
No changes to solar panels, inverters or controllers.
For each completed session, Just In Charge applies your provider’s published tariff formula and prices to the energy actually delivered. This gives you the charging cost and saving for that session compared with the supported fixed tariff.
The public calculator uses the same pricing data with a modelled charging need, so its result is a provider-specific historical estimate rather than an exact electricity bill. Capacity and peak-demand charges are excluded because Just In Charge does not know the home’s complete load profile.
When several intervals have the same price, peak reduction can spread the required energy across them at a lower charging-power setpoint. That can reduce the 15-minute average demand used by tariffs such as CKW’s. The energy still counts, and the calculator does not include any resulting peak-charge saving.
