Use the wallbox you already own

Check whether your AC wallbox can connect through OCPP.

The decisive features are OCPP 1.6J, reliable internet and access to the wallbox backend setting—not the logo on the front.

  • Configurable backend URL
  • Reliable internet connection

Three compatibility checks

Check the manual or installer portal before registering.

  • The exact model and firmware expose OCPP 1.6J.
  • You or your installer can change its central-system or backend URL.
  • The charger can maintain an outbound secure WebSocket connection.

A setup guide is not a certification

Manufacturer documentation can show where OCPP settings live, but individual models, firmware versions and installer permissions differ. Just In Charge should only be selected after those three checks pass.

What happens after connection

The wallbox sends charging status and measurements to Just In Charge. The planner can then apply charging profiles around departure time, dynamic prices or forecast solar production.
